Who We Are

Based in Detroit, Michigan, Kolene Corporation was founded in 1939 by John Shoemaker to explore new methods of cleaning and treating metals. Kolene is still actively involved in a wide variety of industrial processes for cleaning metals and components. Offerings include specialized process equipment, chemicals, and service, all supported by dedicated R&D facilities and Engineering resources.

Kolene RecoverŪ is a family of proprietary, organic cleaning solution offering significant savings over alternative cleaning technologies. Operating at 150°F to about 300°F, they are environmentally friendly and efficiently remove unwanted coatings from a broad range of ferrous, non-ferrous, and select non-metallic substrates.

Concentrating specifically on processes for organic coatings removal from components and assemblies, the Kolene Recover Group combines specialized process equipment with unique Recover process chemistry. This innovative coating removal system significantly improves parts cleaning, allowing manufacturers to recover their products and costs
